Today, the U.S. Census Bureau released findings from the American Community Survey (ACS), its most relied upon source for socioeconomic information every year. Similar to last week’s release of the Bureau’s Current Population Survey which announced the national increase in the poverty rate to a 52 year high rate of 15.1%, the ACS showed the dramatic increase of poverty in our state.
