Reading, art, and playing piano & yes!

My mom makes the best pozole, then and now haha. 

What was your favorite thing about being a child, and do you try to hold onto that spirit as an adult?
Spending endless hours outside playing with friends & family

What was the most valuable lesson you learned as a child, and how has it influenced your life today?
I grew up in a Christian household and still practice my faith, and I think the most valuable lesson I learned was holding on to my faith even when life is difficult.

What advice would you give to your younger self, based on what you've learned throughout your life so far?
To always remember what’s most important and not get caught up trying to overachieve or seek validation through work/success.

Ciriac joined Voices for Utah Children in 2018. Ciriac Alvarez Valle is a proud immigrant and is passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children and families in Utah. She currently serves as a Senior Policy Analyst at Voices for Utah Children, bringing over eight years of experience in advancing healthcare and immigration policy, as well as driving change through community engagement and empowerment. She works to advance policy change that makes Utah a welcoming place for all children. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Sociology from the University of Utah.
