Last month, we held our annual Breakfast of Children’s Champions where we celebrated the great work happening in our communities for Utah kids. Once again, congratulations to this year's awardees:

  • Children's Champion Award: Senator Luz Escamilla and Representative Jim Dunnigan
  • Community Partner Award: Comunidad Materna Utah
  • Voices Alumni Award: Barbara Muñoz
  • Student Advocate Awards: Paula R. Cervantes Zamarripa (Taylorsville HS) and Danae Gallegos (Ogden HS)

At this year's event, we also announced the release of our 2023 Utah KIDS COUNT© Data Book. This annual data booik offers a comprehensive look at the well-being of Utah's children. We encourage you to dive into the data and gain invaluable insights into the current state of child welfare across our state.

This year's Breakfast of Children's Champions event was made possible by the generosity of our incredible sponsors: Select Health, Intermountain Health, Primary Children's Hospital, and the Andrus Family Foundation. We greatly appreciate your support in helping us to celebrate and recognize the amazing work being done for Utah's children. We enjoyed such a fun-filled morning with delicious eats, live music from Mariachi Guzman, and wonderful company! Keep scrolling down to check out photos from the event.
